I happened to pass by this restaurant while heading to Staples and decided to give it a try. The cheesesteak was excellent, with high-quality steak that really stood out. The sidewinder fries were crispy and had a nice, simple seasoning that complemented them well. While it's not the cheapest lunch option, the portions are quite generous—I ordered a medium and had a hard time finishing it. The service was quick and friendly, too. Next time, I’ll get my car washed next door so I can take advantage of the discount!
This restaurant has undergone a remarkable transformation since the change in ownership. It's truly impressive! We even had them cater our Super Bowl party. Having spent half my life in Philadelphia, I can confidently say that this place delivers more flavor and better quality than many of the overrated spots in the city. I highly recommend the fried pickles—they're made fresh daily!
The cheesesteaks here are the best I've ever tasted in the area. The fried pickles are made fresh every day and are absolutely incredible! This is also the only place where you can find sidewinder fries. And if you still have room for dessert, the milkshakes make the perfect way to finish off a fantastic meal!
Unprofessional and careless service. No straws were included with my drinks, even after I called to remind them. Despite paying extra fees for DoorDash, I ended up having to drive to Fat Ernie's to pick up what they forgot. This is what happens when you don’t maintain high hiring standards.

AMAZING!! I ordered a chicken cheesesteak with sidewinder fries, and the food arrived piping hot. I highly recommend anything from Fat Ernie's—I’ve been a loyal customer for a while, and their food and service have improved tremendously under the new ownership.
The food was not enjoyable at all; my cheesesteak tasted overwhelmingly like cheese whiz. The only redeeming quality was the fries, which were decent. Based on the reviews this place has received, I wouldn't recommend it at all.
The food was poorly prepared. The bread was hard, and the sandwich was missing some of the toppings I paid for. Overall, it was quite disappointing.
