My husband surprised me with a trip to Fat Floyd's on my birthday earlier this week so I could indulge my Texas Bucket List obsession. We had the BBQ plate with sausage, brisket, and chicken, and a BBQ pizza with leftovers. We had a 5 star experience with tasty food and excellent service. My favorite was the perfect chicken and BBQ beans, while my husband's favorite was the barbecue brisket and chicken pizza. The barbecue sauce had a slightly sweet taste with a tiny bite of spice. The trip was well worth the 3 hour round trip drive.
Nice atmosphere. Young man at register is well spoken and very sweet. Friendly staff. Great food. We got the pizza. Would have liked it a little more cooked but it was great. He told us to ask for it a little more cooked because his dad 's recipe had it like they did it. It was still really good and way too much food for the 2 of us. We took half home with their bbq sauce (which is really good . We will be back !
Had lunch at Fat Floyd’s. It was excellent. I’m from KC and this BBQ did not disappoint! I had the salad with chopped brisket on top. Meaty, delicious. We will be back. Hubby got the three meat plate with sliced brisket, pulled pork sausage. With Mac n cheese (very tasty) and the baked beans (he liked them). This is a must visit restaurant. Mmm good!
We tried it yesterday and was highly disappointed. Overcharged first of all. The bbq has no flavor I had to Dr it up to make it to where we could eat it. Will not be going back and will not recommend. Overall bad experience not worth the trouble. Service: Take out Food: 1 Service: 1
