Made reservations for 7pm Sunday. As a two top we were seated right next to the kitchen and in between three large parties. Thankfully they were not too loud which didn’t hinder our experience. Bread was the best bread I’ve ever had and the food was all excellent. Fish came with a good sauce but my mom’s shrimp had literally zero seasonings. Service was definitely lacking in context of the fact I asked for our food to be wrapped by the staff but instead was given boxes. Also we got no bread to take home even though by the time we asked for it people were still getting their entrees. A lot of nearby dirty tables as well. My granddaughter attends Rowan University, so we were searching for a nearby restaurant to meet her. We drove for about an hour and found a spot with seating at the bar. The happy hour menu offered a fantastic selection. We tried the eggplant meatballs, pizza, an eggplant caponata, and broccoli rabe with sausage. Everything was delicious! The bartenders were very friendly, and the drinks were excellent. We were all very satisfied, and the atmosphere was lovely with a spacious bar. We'll definitely be returning!
I went there for lunch today.....the food took a long time to be prepared but it was hot and delicious once it got there! I am thinking that because we had a table of 10 individuals from the workplace, that' s probably why the food took so long? Not sure but by the time it got to my table, I was ready to eat a whole cow! There are quite a few of these located in New Jersey....this specific one was in Deptford, New Jersey.
Great atmosphere. Great food! My husband got the steak frite' with parmesan truffle fries, I got the tortellini and scallops. Both entrees were delicious. The steak and scallops were both cooked perfectly. The bread was fresh and we enjoyed the sauteed green pepper dip too. It was a really enjoyable experience. This restaurant is always a reliable choice. We often sit in the bar area, which tends to be lively, but we can usually find a spot. They have fantastic Happy Hour specials, and I really enjoy their house wines. The food is consistently delicious, and I've never been disappointed. It's a great place to catch up with friends!
At the beginning of July, we held a dinner for my son with 11 guests. Everyone in our group ordered something different and they all loved their meals! Today I returned with my husband for the second time, and once again, Filomena's did not disappoint! Both of our meals were delicious! We absolutely love this place!
This was my first time here and I was pretty impressed. Got a couple drinks from the bar and they were amazing. Highly recommend their blood orange margarita. Truffle fries were out of this world as well as the wedge salad. I added some grilled chicken to the wedge which I also recommend if you’re feeling crazy.
