I dined with a group of 9 people and unfortunately our experience was disappointing. It took 30-40 minutes for everyone to receive their drinks, even though the restaurant was not very busy. Some of the meals were incorrect or poorly prepared. One person received an apple pie instead of the shepherd's pie they ordered, another person's club sandwich was served with cheese despite mentioning an allergy, and the mushroom soup I ordered tasted like soda water and was cold. Fionn's is a fantastic spot to visit with friends. One of the things we really appreciate is their vegetarian and vegan menu options, as well as their selection of draught beers. Even our friends who are not vegan always find something they enjoy on the menu. However, during our most recent visit, we encountered a slight issue. We had made reservations for 6 pm only to discover upon arrival that the entire restaurant had been booked for a private event starting at 7. This caused us to feel a bit rushed, but our server was very apologetic and accommodating.
I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The fish and chips were excellent, one of the best in town. However, the braised beef ravioli was almost inedible due to the excessive salt and pepper. It was overpowering and way too salty. My girlfriend's daughter, who usually likes everything, also found it too peppery. I should have known better than to order pasta at an Irish restaurant. Thankfully, I ordered extra fish so I could share with her.

This was the worst dining experience we have ever had. We had to search for someone to bring us kid's menus, cutlery, napkins, and plates. It took about 20 minutes to get someone to take our drink order after we were seated, and no one checked on us to see if we needed anything else. It took over an hour and a half to receive our meals, which were only mediocre at best. We will never be returning to this restaurant.
As soon as we entered the restaurant, we received a warm welcome and were seated 15 minutes prior to our reservation time. Our server quickly arrived at our table, greeted us with a friendly manner, and took our drink orders promptly. The food we ordered arrived hot and tasty, just as we have come to expect. This hidden gem of a local establishment comes highly recommended by me to everyone I know and talk to!
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere at Fiona's. Our server was pleasant and assisted us in finding gluten-free options on the menu. The meal was delicious!
The food tasted good but was very salty. Could use less salt in the prep.
