Fir Tree House Tearoom

we arrived on Sunday at 4.00 clock. the garden was very busy so we decided to go inside as there were several tables free. when she entered, she cried a very grim, middle, aged lady at the top of her voice. wait there, she continued... I first thought she had to talk to her dog, she was so aggressive. She explained that they were very busy and we should wait in the corner. I don't think I've ever seen someone in a caffe or restaurant that's so rude and aggressive. Of course we decided not to stay. I felt like I was in an episode of faulty towers.

Been going here since I was a kid. I have fond memories having a cream tea inside the house on a cold, autumnal afternoon with the log fire brining, or in their beautiful garden on a warm summer’s day. All cakes, scones, sandwiches and jams...are homemade and taste great. It is a favourite location of mine to take friends and family to, including American relatives, for them to experience a traditional cream tea in the beautiful Kent countryside.

Have been going to this tea house for many years and it never disappoints. The lemon cake is the best I have eaten anywhere and service was efficient even on a very busy Bank Holiday Monday. Very pleasant to sit in the garden with pretty flowers and bird song.

Lovely relaxing garden, excellent waiting staff, absolutely delicious homemade cakes and scones and sandwiches. With the Beautiful Kent countryside all around there is no better place to spend an afternoon!
