Went here last night with my daughter and was looking forward to a good steak. We had oysters for entree and they were fresh, large and delicious! Some of the yummiest oysters I've had in a long time. But then my main came out???? I'd ordered the eye fillet for $48 and it was a smallish butterflied (cut nearly in half and spread flat) so steak was only about 2-3cms high and small handful of wilted rocket with a wedge of lemon????, a small amount of rough cut over cooked potato pieces that had been seasoned to and inch of their lives with a spice mix that was overpowered with salt and paprika and a large bowl of chimichurri sauce (sauce was tasty) and that's it!? $48!? I took the 'rents here for Dad's birthday dinner and we all agreed that the food was fantastic.
Melt in your mouth steak, char grilled calamari, and tender chicken made for very satisfying mains. The side of vegetables was a great accompaniment to these dishes. It's Argentinian food as you would expect - generous, hearty and full of flavour. Our churros were a tad dense, but that would be my only complaint.
Service was friendly and attentive on a quiet Thursday evening.
Adelaide has its fair share of steak/ribs places with Argentine flavour. This place impressed me with its quality and serving sizes we tried the ribs the mixed meat platter a fillet steak and all dishes where full of flavoursome. The waitress Natalie I think her name was perfect so accommodating and helpful with the types of dishes the bill $300 three adults and three children mad or a great night all round

We went for a birthday dinner on Friday night. The restaurant was well decorated but almost empty. Had the dips with olives and bread followed by a mixed grill share platter. Dips very average with pizza base bread. Mixed grill ok however for $90 overpriced - mostly sausages and chicken ( overcooked) , a few pork ribs and 2 beef skewers.
Really tasty restaurant but slightly expensive. If you have vegetarian guests/family I would look elsewhere but for us it was great. I would argue it's well worth the cost.
Ordinary is the one word review.
There was nothing about Fire On Unley that was good. The meat was dry and over cooked. Was screaming out for a sauce of some sort.
This was my first experience of an Argentinean restaurantI looked at the menu before hand and had heard the steaks were very good.
