The wings are consistently fantastic, and the staff genuinely seems happy to see you—unlike the fake enthusiasm often found in many places around Alexandria. I appreciate that, almost every time I visit, the atmosphere is quite the opposite of many of my other favorite sit-down restaurants; it's peaceful, relatively dimly lit, and not overly crowded. The service is nearly always attentive, and I don't have much else to add!
I visited the restaurant today to order 3 pounds of wings and a pitcher of beer. However, I was only given six wings, and the staff tried to convince me that this was 3 pounds. I've been coming here two or three times a year for the past couple of years, and while I've noticed some changes with the wings, what I received today was definitely not 3 pounds. I was not impressed at all; this isn't good customer service.
I was bothered by flies buzzing around my legs while I waited for my food, and they continued to swarm around once it arrived. The service was terrible, and the food was nothing special. The coleslaw was decent, but the BLT was disappointing—it was served on stale white bread instead of the "Texas toast" that was advertised on the menu.
The waitress forgot my stepsons order and my stepdaughter wasn't to keen on the salad. However, I absolutely loved their chicken Swiss sandwich, waffle fries were great. Cheese curds and nachos disappeared quickly. Quesadilla does have jalapeños on so just a heads up! I was told sandwiches were so so but the party were cranky anyway. Réservez une table maintenant
Picked up an order of Traditional Wings to go. They were the absolute worst wings I have ever had. We ended up ordering another order of wings from another establishment closer to town with the word Fire in their name, their wings were absolutely awesome!!
New to the area and took a chance on this restaurant. Staff was friendly and both hamburger and fries were hot and good. No cole slaw or onion rings available night of our visit. Restuarant space was pleasant and big enough.
Everything I touched was greasy, the tops of the napkin holders to the back of the chairs. Time to get a professional cleaning crew in, and don't forget the kitchen.
Jeff and hisstaff did an awesome job last night hosting my husband's retirement party. Hats off to you. Réservez une table maintenant
Only was there for a couple drinks, but as a retired Firefighter, the setting is cool to see!
