I'm a bit of a sucker for a degustation with matched wines. The offering at firedoor was right up there. The premise of everything cooked on an open fire is truly inventive. The food was quite unexpected with the vegetables split out from the meat. This means that the meat is pretty much last. But definitely worth the wait. Couldn't fault any of the food. These guys picked some awesome wine pairings. Very authentic with mainly Spanish wines. The many, many servers (seriously well staffed) were all exceptionally knowledgable. The only minor issue was that the air was pretty heavy with smoke. It's not an issue but plan on needing to air your clothes afterwards!!

Hi went to Dinner at the Firedoor Restaurant after waiting for a couple of months for our booking to come around . We were to say in the least very disappointed. We went for the Chef Menu. Looking at the other comments I really don't think this place gets over the mark . Some dishes were good but not great by a long way .For the price tag its got a long way to go and after well over $600 for 4 people no coffee? whats the go ? sorry they did have filtered coffee and 1 type of herbal tea (only this one) .. Wine list needs work why not go more local with your produce . Staff were good

Nous avons absolument aimé cet endroit. Quel restaurant unique! Nous avons essayé une sélection de plats et je peux honnêtement dire que tout n'était pas Seulement délicieux, mais impressionnant. Il n'y a pas d'appareils de cuisson électrique dans cette cuisine, donc je devrais dire que tout fonctionne sur le logfire ou le charbon, du gril au four. Pour différents plats, différentes forêts sont sélectionnées, en fonction de ce qu'ils complètent. Ganache fumé? Oui! Rayon de miel? Oui! Citrouille? Oui! La chair? Oui! Faites-vous une faveur, essayez cet endroit.

We came for a firedoor dinner, this was a collaboration between the chef at Belles Chicken and the Firedoor chef. A very tasty and delicious degustation. We couldn't fault anything on the night; service was excellent, food deliciously cooked and creative. We had some exceptional wines to accompany our meal. All this was served in a comfortable setting. We will most definately be back for more of the same.
