I had lunch today with a friend who grew up eating these sandwiches. They recommended I try the "wedge," which is a type of sub/grinder/hoagie that was new to me. I am giving this place 5 stars for two reasons. Firstly, I have been working in sandwich shops for the past 17 years, so I am quite knowledgeable about the quality and freshness of sliced meats and cheeses. The bread was really good and the sandwich was huge. I ordered the Italian combo and the only slight criticism I have is that the meats lacked a bit of flavor, possibly because they were prepared in advance. Even during busy times, the service remains prompt. On my initial visit, I found the prices to be slightly elevated, but after trying the food, I realized that the quality and value exceeded my expectations. Without a doubt, this is the best deli in Greenwich, and probably in Portchester too. While it's not the cheapest dining option, the portion sizes are definitely worth it. Ordering is a breeze, and the food is consistently delicious. Don't expect a sit-down meal; it's more of a grab-and-go place. They've got an extensive menu, featuring everything from breakfast items to burgers and even tater tots!
