First And Last Inn

Visited Land’s End on a cold windy day and after paying for car parking found the whole place closed and shuttered! Very disappointing! On the road out via Sennen, after being wind-blown and battered we spotted the First and Last Inn and decided to pop...in for a cup of coffee. A warm, inviting, dog friendly Inn with lovely staff who made us feel very welcome. After the warming cup of coffee we decided to stay and sample the Sunday Lunch. A delicious meal of roast beef, Yorkshire Pudding and a superb array of seasonal vegetables, washed down by excellent pint of Guinness for hubby and a glass of Chardonnay for me. What a great pub. Friendly, great staff and food. Great service even when flat out busy , will find you a table. I have been working on and off down here and even at high season the food has been great, simple menu and some...lovely specials, particularly the gammon and the chicken and leak pie. Off season, less busy but still extremely welcoming and friendly. Killer desserts and even help with the crossword. It's a little bit of a walk from Sennen Cove, but can be a very picturesque one and it's worth it. Not as bish bash bosh as places in Sennen Cove in my opinion. Thank you I'll be back next time I'm down.

Based on high ratings and reviews on Tripadvisor three of us went for Saturday night meal. Formica tables……in the twenty first century and in. Pub /restaurant written up as “a great place to visit and eat”??? One meal of fish chips was ok but...two meals of First Last Burgers were frazzled and subsequently given to the dog. We didn’t stay for a desert. The chef, or rather cook spent more time chatting to his fiends in the restaurant than paying attention to his paid role. Appalling value for money. Don’t go.

Popped in to the pub having heard great things about it. I was not disappointed. The menu was varied, something for everyone, the food delicious, and the service second to none. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and family but to be honest, it...is so good I would like to keep it to myself. Will definitely return to this gorgeous venue. Staff were rude, chef behind bar, cross contamination! Service was inept and the food was nothing special. I appreciate that after Covid that it is a problem with staff. But when you are working in a people facing role. God sake, smile and be nice.

today on the way back from lands end. we could not eat in lands end because of lack of choice and bad staff in the hotel and others burst. the staff was helpful and welcoming and eating inexpensive and tasty....I would recommend the place.

ostermontag restaurant closed until further notice! the management here like the feet high. the old success on the road is always busy. first and last could take a lot overspill trade. not disturbed. it's been too long.

Although they have many signs that sell beautiful house cooked food when we asked for food menus, they said they did not eat all day served, and that was that.

Very, very slow service and stressed out staff all working on one table of three...and nobody else in the place. Odd experience. Nice stout.
