Tried food here for the first time based on reviews (we ordered for pick up). I had a reuben which was pretty good, and I am thankful for how hot is was heated up to, as I am pregnant and was nervous to eat a deli type meat. However, my husband 's burger was so cold and pink that he didn 't finish it, and it felt like a spendy burger to have thrown away. The fries were oddly cold as well, especially when compared to how hot my food still was when we got home. We stumbled into this local bar and grill an hour before closing on a Tuesday night. Everything in the Spokane region starts to shut down around 8 no matter what the hours posted, but these folks welcomed us. The food was fresh, tasty and thoughtfully prepared They had lots of gluten free options (I had the Rueben- which was great! and staff were attentive (remembered to not put croutons on the salad . Our waitress was friendly and chipper. Not hurried at all even with the late hour. Definitely recommend. Dietary restrictions: Gluten- very cautious and observant, knowledgeable and respectful.
I visited for the first time and as soon as I walked in, I could feel the lively buzz of a busy diner. However, once we were seated, the atmosphere became much quieter. Our service was excellent, and the food exceeded our expectations. The owner ended up serving us, and we had a pleasant conversation about family. I can't wait to return and try all the different dishes I couldn't decide on. As for kid-friendliness, there are great options for children and the servers are really accommodating.
Had lunch there, the server was very friendly and quick to greet us. .she recommended the tomato basil soup and it was delicious. I had a Reuben that was tender and Soo yummy. The owner came to ask us how our meal was and his visit made us feel like family. The baklava was flakey and the best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back and try the pasta !

This is a reliable restaurant with a wide-ranging menu that offers plenty of great choices. While the food and atmosphere didn't particularly impress me, they were definitely satisfactory. The waitress was attentive, although the entrees took a little longer to arrive, possibly because the place was unusually busy for a Friday at 3 PM.
While they say they offer gluten free options, even with the order ticket stating that I had severe celiac, they didnt take the extra time to make sure it was cross contaminated. I got very sick. If you have allergies like this, I wouldn’t take the chance. Food tasted good though. Waitress was nice.
This restaurant consistently impresses me. I visit Deer Park at least once a month, and I always choose this place to dine with a friend or family. The servers, hostesses, and everyone on staff are always gracious, friendly, and helpful. I absolutely love 1st Street Bar and Grill and their team!
