Today I have specifically visited to make use of my purchase to get a free birthday coupon. What I most appreciate about this voucher is that there is enough time to use it without expiry. My daughter and one of my sisters are with me today. It was on a Sunday morning and waiting wasn't long! It was busy, but everyone was so efficient and worked seamlessly as a team. Nobody rushed around, but everyone was served very quickly. From the time I went, and gave my name to the host until the time we left, it was one of the most relaxing breakfast I ever had in the last memory. The food was delicious! Had a really regrettable experience with this First Watch. A very large moth found in our salad (see photos). All four of us felt like the salads tasted and were really rough from the beginning, but we all forced it down to get something green. It happened to find this guy who marined in our salad at the end, making a lot of sense. When I drew attention to the waiters, she took the plate away and came back and had given me a 50% discount, only on this dish, although we had 4 salads. 50% of a dish with a huge moth in it was more of a lap in the face than anything. I visited this restaurant with my wife for brunch, and it was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, exactly what we were looking for. There was plenty of seating available, and the presentation of the dishes was impressive! The food was delicious—we both really enjoyed our selections, and it arrived quite quickly. The coffee was excellent as well, just what I needed! The service was flawless: friendly, prompt, and attentive throughout our visit. We settled the bill at the front and were on our way in no time. We went this morning and got the Million dollar bacon, pumpkin spiced donuts special, chocolate chip pancakes, lemon ricotta pancakes, farm stand breakfast tacos, muffins, and the cheesy grits. Everything came in good size portions. My fiancé loved the tacos but just wished the tacos were a little more full. The lemon ricotta pancakes were awesome. They were fresh and airy. The only thing we didn?t like was the cheesy grits. The cheese was a thick layer on the top and the grits were straight mush. Everything else was really good, we can?t wait to go back! Great option for breakfast brunch in Newtown Square. The prices are very reasonable and the food is all high quality and well prepared. The staff is always very pleasant and helpful. My son loves their chocolate chip pancakes, partly because they are delicious, partly because they are about the size of the table. The breakfast tacos are a favorite of me, and I love that their breakfast cakes are not only bagged and shredded flavorless potatoes.
What a great restaurant! The name threw me away, but the food keeps me back! We went to a Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., server was Luis, a nice guy and efficient good! The coffee price threw me a bit of $3.50, but you have a small pot and refills and the coffee is really good. My friend got the avocado toast on gluten-free bread and loved it. My frittata rustica was also very delicious. Definitely a place worth going!!
Food selection for breakfast was different then the usual omelet or pancakes with bacon. Very colorful choices and concise. Service was prompt, and the dishes were well prepared and delicious. The dining area was well maintained and they can accommodate a large party or table for two. Bathrooms were clean and well lit.
I tried this restaurant for the first time after living nearby for a year, and I really wish I had visited sooner!
