My brother has already written a review, but I also wanted to add my two cents. If you are Asian, stay away from this restaurant. We couldn’t believe the audacity of the staff here after forgetting our order. An hour passed by and not a single person came to check in on us. We were a large party of 8 adults. We got there at 5pm, early dinner due to my baby’s bed time schedule. This is our first family vacation since Covid so the first 45 mins or so flew by with us enjoying the garden atmosphere. We came to a qualicum beach on a family vacation and thought this would be a nice place to have dinner. We were a party of 8 with 2 kids and arrived at 5pm. They were quick to take our order and said that it would take some time to get our order together which was fine because we were early. It was 6pm an hour had passed and we noticed that parties that came after us started getting their food so we inquired on the status of our order, nor did they come once to check up. We are staying on island this year. We have decided to visit one community each week to support the local businesses. The fish halibut served here is simply excellent. Staff are out going, friendly and make you welcome. The lawn is set up...with tables many feet apart. Simply a quiet place to visit. Very enjoyable..HOWEVER they need to improve how they prepare the chips served with the fish. Order fish and something besides chips. We found the chips greasy or oily and did not eat them. OTHERWISE a great place to slow down, smell the roses and relax...

Delicious and relaxing experience. Owner came outside to talk to us and it was really fun. Sad to hear this place is closing but it seems the owner is ready to retire. Gorgeous outdoor atmosphere and huge, varied menu. Service was excellent! Réservez une table maintenant

we were there several times and enjoyed eating every time. very surprised by the price-performance ratio large portion and not expensive at all. and the best sticky toffee pudding at all! miss this place when they sell.
