From the outside this place looks tired and in need of some renovation, nevertheless, my husband wanted a fish lunch so we went inside. We were given a menu, and told to check the board for prices which was confusing in itself as the options on the board appeared different. Given it is called a 'cafe ' we hoped there would be some kids non-fish options on the menu (fussy children) but there weren 't. We therefore went elsewhere and grabbed some lunch for the children but they didn 't have time to eat it outside as we were told the restaurant would be taking last orders in 20 mins (even though this was at 2.30 and the closing time was 4pm on the door). If you enjoy fresh seafood, whether dining in or getting it to cook at home, this is the perfect place for you. We had a delicious lunch of smoked salmon, prawns, and fresh crab. The portion sizes were generous and the quality was great, all at a reasonable price. You can choose to sit inside or outside, with a lovely view of the estuary. We also purchased some fresh lobster to take home, which was so good that we came back a few days later for more. It's definitely worth supporting this fantastic local business.
What a find! We were just looking for a car park near the High Street and found this, adjacent. The fishmonger part of the business had some great stock and the restaurant couldn’t have had a better view out the window on a sunny day. Superb fish chowder.. we know where to go for an afternoon munch now, can’t wait to return to Cardigan, a great place, thriving but still with quaintness, and a good vibe. Love it!
The food at this restaurant is excellent, whether you enjoy seafood or not. I enjoyed a delicious vegan salad bowl, while my husband had a tasty prawn sandwich. The portions were generous and we washed it all down with great coffee. The service was friendly, and we were able to bring our 2 dogs, which was important to us. We sat on the terrace with beautiful views of the estuary.

Stumbled on by accident as needed to use the car park. Had the Prawn, Smoked Salmon, poached salmon platter. It was delicious.. in fact, I didn't want it to end. Fresh. Appetising and beautifully presented. I can not recommend this place highly enough. Well done to everyone concerned. A marvellous find. I will be back.
Pleasant surprise awaits, the walk up is unprepossessing, but checking the menus How's promise, inside the welcome is warm and the choices limited to fresh ingredients. The fish platter and lobster salad were eaten small bites at a time, to savour it all. The bill was reasonable and the setting relaxing on the deck.
This restaurant offers delicious food, great atmosphere, convenient location, excellent service, affordable prices, quality ingredients, tasty dishes, and flavorful gravy (although it may be a bit runny and brown in appearance).
One of the best fish meals we've ever had. We shared lobster and a sea- medley, everything was superb. Great salad accompaniment. If I lived here I would visit regularly. Lovely staff too.

Great seafood. Lots of choices. Beautifully presented. Very friendly staff. Would be our go to place if we were local. Went back later for coffee, just as friendly service. Great location
Some of the best food I have ever had, try there taster evenings as we did or during the day. The staff are lovely and they have a great selection of drinks as well.
