Came here at opening on the Monday after Superbowl weekend without realizing. I can imagine the chef, Shafi, would have hoped for a break, but he was super welcoming and gracious. It was just me and my two young kids and we ordered fries and a pepperoni pizza, which is a rare treat for us because we keep fairly strictly halal. The fries were fresh and delicious wedges and the pizza was excellent perfect NY style pizza that could folded and eaten mess free. Shafi was really nice to my well intentioned but loud kids, which wins big points with me. Since the small part of the menu that we sampled was so good, we absolutely intend to come back and try some wings, burgers, and other pizzas.
In a surprising turn of events, the restaurant responded to my review in a negative way, attacking me for not taking it down. They suggested I should have called for a solution instead of leaving a one-star review. However, platforms like Google and Yelp are meant for honest feedback, both positive and negative, to help other customers make informed decisions.
I have never experienced such an aggressive response to a review before. It's disappointing that the management could not handle criticism properly, resorting to attacking me based on my religion and values. They eventually deleted all their responses, but the damage was already done.
I had high hopes for this pizza place and really wanted it to be great! Being a native New Yorker, pizza is my life. Authentic East Coast pizza is incomparable. Unfortunately, this place falls short with their pre-made dough similar to Boboli supermarket crust. I hope they improve by making fresh dough pizza. I'm still searching for the best New York slice in Illinois after my favorite, Uncle Luigi's, closed. My second favorite is Jimmy's Pizza Cafe in Ravenswood. Maybe the owner and chef can check them out and recreate their success so I can enjoy great pizza closer to home. I appreciate that they're open late.
Do yourself a favor and order a slice and a burger so you can try both. The slice is the only NY style in the area I think, no cheap cheese, I bet it should be great reheated too. The burger is not a frozen patty, it well seasoned and their home sauce is good, this is a really good and tasty burger. I will definitely eat here again. Price is competitive too when you compare with other food joints in the area.

Went here for the first time the other day with my friend. The pizza was absolutely delicious but the boneless wings were out of this world. The wings were hand-sliced and breaded, and coated in home made sauce. I've never had boneless wings as good as these. Definitely gonna be my go-to spot from now on.Dietary restrictions: Awesome halal beef-pepperoni pizza.
I should have ordered a whole box of pepperoni pizza instead of just one slice for $8. I will definitely come back to this restaurant again! I have never been to New York City, so this meal gave me a taste of what it's like to be there. I would give the food a perfect score of 5 out of 5.
Gave it a shot because it 's super close by and I like to support neighborhood shops. Pizza tasted okay, but it 's too thin for NY style. Got cheese bread (minus cheese) and it was hard. Paid $4 extra for more sauce I didn 't get. Way overpriced. Disappointed.
One of the best pizza I ever ate, just picked up half cheese half veggie pizza and both were amazing, the owner and son are every friendly. I would definitely order from there very soon.

Good service and food. It's still open. There is a lot of space and open pretty late. Get the spicy gyro pizza.
Best NY style pizza you'll get in the Chicago area! I was very impressed!
