Ordered take out from 5 Star Thai after seeing the great reviews and wanting to try a different thai restaurant in the area. Unfortunately, the food was shockingly bad. I try to avoid writing negative reviews, but it’s worthwhile for people to know and I really hope the restaurant will take this feedback and improve. We need a great Thai option in the area. Here’s what we go: Steamed Chicken Dumpling: very dense, lacked flavor, tasted like a steamed chicken nugget, if the chicken in the chicken nugget was dense. Tom Kha Gai This was maybe the best item. Hands down the best Thai food in the area. They also have the tradition Thai basil chicken that I like. Most places don’t or say they do but the minced chicken is always the missing piece. Not here though. I absolutely love this place. I order take out from downtown jersey city because all the places in the area are just okay. Nothing truly compares. I recommend the Drunken noodles, red curry, Thai basil chicken (traditional or normal, depending what you like). Also beware. Medium spicy has a kick so if you can’t take the heat maybe start off with mild first
This was a really random but amazing find! Tony sat us down right away and was super attentive. He even pulled an extra table over since we ordered a few different plates. The service was fast and the food was amazing. We aren?t from the area but oftendrive through on the way to NYC, so we are making this our go to spot now on our long drives! Can?t wait to return.
This restaurant truly deserves the name 5 Stars Thai. Both when eating in and taking out, the staff is impeccable. Have never been disappointed since the first day I’ve been here and I’ve kept coming back. Good food, great prices on the lunch special with the free drink, and timely. Definitely worth trying out.

No taste, the sticky rice is super small. Not worth the money. If you want a real Thai taste then don’t go to this restaurant. Tasteless food. Pictures look very delicious but tasteless. Disappointed. Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
This is the best place around for Thai food. They are also very nice people. I highly recommend you try the place. Also, call them direct. Don’t use those services, it eats into their business. They do have a delivery person.

Delicious green curry and Tom Yum soup. Perfect spice, just enough heat as ordered. Attentive service and friendly manager. Recommend.
