I tried this place since the reviews were pretty good, and it was close to the Hotel. I did takeout, and was surprised that they had no way to order on-line. I walked to the place and was excited since most of the patrons were local. This is usually a sign of pretty good food. I ordered from the front desk and selected stuffed mushrooms, rib appetizer, and a meat lasagna. The food was bagged fairly quick and I left. I tried the food and was appalled. The (seafood) stuffed mushrooms had no taste and the mushrooms were barely cooked. The stuffing was not seafood but more of a panko or bread. There was no seafood taste or smell. I absolutely love Floramo's, not only for their delicious food but also for their outstanding customer service, particularly from Sherry, an amazing waitress. Sherry truly goes above and beyond to ensure every customer is satisfied, always making sure that your food and drinks meet your expectations. She has a wonderful smile that brightens the experience. Thanks to Sherry, I find myself visiting Floramo's once a week. While the food is fantastic, it's the exceptional service from Sherry that truly enhances the dining experience. We also ordered a salad, but it was served in a flimsy clear plastic container—similar to what you’d find for a muffin—and was barely filled, containing maybe six leaves of lettuce that were far from appetizing. We tried the chicken parmesan and steak tips as well, and neither impressed us; everything was below expectations. Given the high prices—averaging around $24 per item, plus a $2.50 charge to add three ravioli—this was not worth it. We definitely won’t be returning! Although there may be lines now, the quality needs to improve; otherwise, those lines will soon dwindle.
I'm giving this restaurant four stars because the steak tips were absolutely amazing! However, I was a bit disappointed with the ambiance. The Wakefield location used to be a dockside restaurant, and it still feels very much like one. Given the prices that Floramo's charges, I expected more in terms of decor and atmosphere, similar to what you find at their Chelsea location. If you're going solely for the food, it's fantastic, but if you're looking for a great atmosphere as well, this place falls short. Réservez une table maintenant
We were staying at a hotel within walking distance so we gave this place a try the first night we arrived. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food portions are HUGE. We ordered the 1/2 chicken and 1/2 ribs with roasted potatoes. We could not finish it and took a large portion back to room. We returned again on our last night in town, again the portions were HUGE and we took the leftovers home. The staff are wonderful and make you feel at home . I would return.... for sure.
