Food was very good and service was quick but staff were the rudest we have ever experienced. Clearly don't like foreign people in their restaurant so would advise perhaps they put a sign up saying locals only if they are to remain open. First time...we have gone to a restaurant and not left a tip as was so offended by the waitress's attitude to us. Not the first year we have been to this restaurant and we returned this year as the food was good last time and location handy. Difference this time was the behaviour of the staff who simply could not have been ruder. Wish we had checked reviews before going and not gone off just a good food experience from 2 years ago. I am a bit surprised to see all these bad reviews, as our dining experience here was very pleasant. The ambiance was great and warm, the service- very friendly. As to the food, I got the buffalo mozzarella/ tomatoes salad, which was delicious, and the...pizza (diavolo? , which was good. So nothing out of this world amazing (but then, in my opinion, few/none of the restaurants in St Anton are THAT amazing , but a perfectly nice meal in a cozy restaurant.
We were really disappointed with this restaurant. I understand German, and spend a lot of time in St Anton, so when a rude lady takes my order (getting it wrong, I am not even going to grumble about that), and proceeds to be rude about English people to others at the bar, it is very disappointing. The pizza is good, but we will try and avoid the restaurant in future. Sad; we eat out here 20+ times a year and you have lost a customer.
I had the schnitzel (and fries), which was fine. It was a lot of food, and tasted good. But the pizza looked really great! Another person in our party had a bowl of pasta that went on for days she could barely finish it!...Also, at the end of the meal, ask for a schnapps but have them bring out the schnapps tree (a round carousel type thing that had schnapps bottles and glasses on it). Very impressive!
De bediening had een lieve glimlach maar verders was t eten drama! Pizza salami, was salami met een beetje deeg en zeer niet smakelijk. Verhoudingen kloppen totaal niet.Andere pizza had kilo's ham erop. Knoflookbrood aangebrand en too much knoflook.Volgende dag elders bij een pizzaria gegeten en dat leek tenminste ergens op.Advies, stoppen met die handel en ga wat doen wat je wel kunt.
Out of seven dinners, this was the only place we went back to. Service, setting and food is perfect after a long day in the slopes. The place is both cozy and intimate. Compared to other restaurants in town the food was more tasteful and rich. The menu has a variaty of options and we would have come back for a third time if we stayed longer.
