We were visiting Dayton on Spring Break and stopped by Flying Pizza with four hungry teenagers. I knew they were the home of HUGE pizzas, and that's what we needed. From start to finish, we had a great experience. We were greeted immediately with a warm welcome. I believe it may have been the owner who took our order, a super friendly guy. Ordered a large cheese pizza crispy/well done. Opened the box and tried a few bites of a slice and it was completely RAW and undercooked. Inside the crust was cold and mush and the bottom was barely done. I brought the pizza back to explain how it was undercooked and not well done, and the owner wanted to find every excuse to use. He said thats what happens when you shut the top of the pizza box, it gets like that Ummmm last time I checked closing the top of a pizza box doesn 't cause the dough to be cold and raw. Workers then started to question and interrogate me as if I was trying to make something up. I said I didn 't want to get sick and the owner chirped back well that would never happ...
After placing our order, we were given silverware, paper plates, and our drinks, then directed to find a seat. The dining area is quite small (the pizza nearly took up the entire table, haha), but it felt cozy despite being full of people. They also offered bottled beer, salads, desserts, and more.
When our pizza arrived, it was incredibly hot and fresh from the oven—literally STEAMING! It was New York-style pizza, and I appreciated the finely crumbled sausage. We couldn't wait to dig in, even at the risk of burning our mouths, and it was absolutely delicious! The cheese was perfectly stringy and flavorful. We absolutely love Flying Pizza! The brothers and their family are fantastic and so much fun to be around. The service is always quick, the food is fresh, and the atmosphere is welcoming. We enjoy getting pizza by the slice, which allows everyone to choose exactly what they want! My personal favorite is the deluxe pizza, while my husband always opts for sausage and pepperoni. And don’t forget to share the Bosco sticks! They accept credit cards, but paying with cash is appreciated. If you find yourself downtown and in need of a quick snack or just want to grab some pizza, Flying Pizza is the perfect place to go!

Fantastic lunches both times we were here in the past two months!! Praying it doesn't get more expensive than it already is yet it is delicious!! I couldn't afford to feed the family unless we bought our own pizza as it's cheaper to buy a pie than to buy it by slice a soda is nearly $3.00 for a large soda. Thanks for the parking garage passes though it's a life saver otherwise we couldn't stop by anyhow!! Just a bonus a way for us to slip in and grabs one scrumptious pizza!!
I stopped into this location after visiting a friend at the store next-door. The young lady that greeted, Chasity, was super sweet and helpful. I decided to have a slice of the pepperoni and sausage pizza... which did not disappoint! The restaurant was clean, the service was great, and the pizza was unbelievable. Thanks again for a great lunch.
I was recently in dayton to see a show and sought this place out for food beforehand. Solid New York style pizza and very friendly service. Next time I'm in dayton, I will stop again.
I really enjoy their pizza! If you’re craving pizza and happen to be in downtown Dayton, it’s definitely worth stopping by for a tasty meal.
