After reading the reviews of this place I was excited about going there and as mentioned the actual restaurant was a bit hard to find, it was tucked away up the back of a grubby old food hall/arcade. First appearance when we arrived was of a grubby looking café which was really rough around the edges.The menu however was very exciting, many different things that you don't find on the usual yum cha menu. Tried the prawn, asparagus and scallop dumplings and the coriander and prawn dumpling, both were ok but really lacked any flavour, salt and pepper squid just passable, beef dumplings ok, the prawn ball with baby corn was good and best by far was the quail egg dim sim. Did want to try the rabb...
As others suggested, it's busy. All of Cabramatta is busy in fact, so don't expect to find car parks easily (or at all!) on Sundays. Trains bring you to the heart of the place in a shopping/eating sense, at 47 Park Road. Fortune8 is at the end of an arcade of food shops and markets. Waiting time was said to be 10 Minutes - in fact it was less than 5. Well-run, efficient, very friendly and fast, delicious dishes. Prices much the same as elsewhere and to be honest, this place beats all the "Dixon St / Chinatown touristy" places hands down! Well worth a try and you pass lots of Vietnamese eating places on the way so choice is vast, costs low and quality high. Recommended definitely.
We had a wonderful dining experience here. Rang the Restaurant to get their location. Staff offered to meet us so we could find them! Details were easy to follow. Monday lunch ws a good time to visit. Plenty of attention from staff and trays of delicous food were served quickly. Staff checked we were enjoying our choices. I tend to prefer dessert with yum cha. This was so not needed as the main choices were most filling and tasty. We asked for iced tea with the meal. This ws one of the best teas we have enjoyed for a long time. Great feeling of friendliness along with great food.
Very good quality dumplings, great variety, staff are friendly and accomodating. Very busy on a Sunday morning so be prepared to wait but in saying that they are very quick turning around the tables. Interestingly there is not enough room for trolleys so the wait staff move around with trays. The beauty of the small restaurant is the food is hot. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is that we didn't get duck pancakes my absolute favourite.

The food at this yumcha restaurant in Cabramatta is really good . I recommend chicken feet , prawns roll , ginger shallot tribe , prawn dumpling and dim sim . service is ok , the down side is cash only no efpost . The restaurant is kind of hidden , so park your car at Cabramatta council parking and then walk towards AA shopping centre . Beware weekends are very busy . I would take my family back again
We've been coming here for years now and have always loved the place. It's got a good buzz to it. The food comes around on trays rapidly and there's a good variety. If what you're after doesn't show up, just grab a menu and order it from the attentive staff. I only wish businesses would consider EFTPOS as an essential part of doing business. Whatever, I highly recommend this for yum cha.
Tucked up the back of a little shopping centre in the middle of downtown Cabramatta (45 minutes by road from CBD on a good day) this small yum cha place serves excellent food. Hot, full of taste, super service and top value for money. It does take reservations-but be there 5 minutes early. It is so popular that if you are late you may need to wait.
Came here with my family recently and received great service! My sister and I are allergic to prawns but can never resist a good feed at Yum Cha - the staff were extremely accommodating of this and the chef even adapted some dishes to become non-prawn, which tasted delicious! Will definitely be back again

I visited fortune 8 with my fiancée we both enjoyed the warm and friendly welcome. The chicken feet were very good, custard balls with sesame seeds, an outstanding desert finally salt and pepper squid every dish was fresh and tasty.We will definitely be back to try more yummy treats.
Last day of our holidays and wanted breakfast nwith a difference. My wife suggested Yum Cha and we came here. The food was only surpassed by the service. When you eat here ask to try the XO sauce. The sauce is made locally and is a definite stand out.
