In the middle of a long journey we turned up at the Fox and Hounds. A quaint looking place in a tiny village near Leeds. The place and the people were more than welcoming, the beer was excellent and a table for two strangers was no issue at all. The menu was held no surprises, it is a pub after all, plenty of choices though, the wife and I both opted for the steak and ale pie, she had chips and I had mash, I'm a mash potato fan, you can't beat good mash. Went for an impromptu Sunday Lunch. We were given fresh Rosemary and seasalt bread and butter prior to eating which was tasty and a nice added touch.My husband had pie of the day which was pork and cider I had Roast pork. The food was cooked to perfection, the vegetables were cooked but maintained bite crispness and a vibrant colour. Plenty of gravy and apple sauce . The portions here are ample and we were not able to eat a starter or a pudding. My husband enjoyed a couple of pints of Timothy Taylors I had a lime and lemon and finished with a cappuccino. I stumbled upon this fantastic little pub with exceptional customer service, friendly staff, and delicious food and drinks. It's a rare gem in today's world where traditional pubs are becoming scarce. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for gatherings with family and friends. The food is top-notch and I couldn't find any faults. I discovered this place while driving to Leeds and decided to stop in for a meal.

had a meal with my wife here, nice little country inn with excellent food, i had daube beef my wife had home made lamb and mint pie we both enjoyed the meal it was delicious and service was great, also got to give our waitress Maggie a mention, very friendly and a credit to the fox and hounds Réservez une table maintenant

Went here for a family meal whilst on holiday and was pleasantly surprised by the level of food on offer. Can’t fault the food one bit and our party of five had 4 different choices. All were enjoyed and appreciated. Service was professional and courteous and we would love to return one day.

We went here following a tough day, to relax. The beer was perfect and the food was excellent. One of the best burgers ever for me and my wife's fish pie was very nice. Very attentive and pleasant service ensured a fulfilling and relaxing evening. Highly recommended.

This cozy pub and restaurant in a charming village near Boston Spa serves delicious food. I highly recommend it for Sunday lunch. The staff are friendly and accommodating. It's a refreshing change to dine at this proper old-fashioned village establishment.

I highly recommend visiting Walton to see their stunning lights, and while you're there, make sure to stop by the pub for some delicious fish and chips and chocolate brownie. It's the perfect winter night treat. Maggie provided excellent service. Réservez une table maintenant

We got the fish and chips to take away and we were not disappointed. The fish was wonderful and the chips were proper fresh chips. All in all cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend.
