Frankie's Fried Chicken

My wife and I order from here all the time. I've lived in many places and tried various styles of chicken, even surviving the infamous KFC chicken rush in Courtenay (by a stroke of luck, I might add) in early 2022. But let me tell you, Frankie's might just have the best chicken I’ve ever had in British Columbia, maybe even in all of Western Canada. They truly serve an amazing fried chicken. And those icing-covered, hot, deep-fried donuts for dessert? Oh my goodness, just thinking about them makes me hungry. Other chicken places in the valley have left me disappointed, but Frankie's has never let me down!

If you find yourself in the Comox-Courtenay area, Frankie's is the perfect spot for a quick and delicious serving of chicken and chips. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous—one box could easily serve two people if you're not very hungry. Frankie's is a local favorite and definitely worth a stop. On nice days, you can enjoy your meal at one of the picnic tables by the water, but if the weather isn’t great, it's ideal for takeout or eating in the car. It's a charming little place that I'll be sure to return to whenever I'm in the neighborhood.

Okay, ummm so , mmmm, WOW. I think this is the best chicken I have ever eaten. I didn't know it could be so moist and delicious, absolutely every part was amazing, the seasoning is magic. I got the classic and nearly ate the box it came in even though it was more food than I could eat. If you only had one purpose to stop in Comox, this should be that purpose. it will be mine, I refuse to eat anywhere else in Comox. Oh my god Frankie. You win at food. Staff is also top notch. yum yum yum yummmmmmmm

*Used to be 5-Stars*This used to be the best fried chicken in the world , perfectly crispy and tender on the inside and all the sides were delicious.. BUT the past 2 times I ate here the chicken and fries were very soggy and the gravy wasn’t very hot….. not sure what they have been lacking on but Would love to see it go back to the quality it’s known for!!! A friend recommended this restaurant because they claimed it has the best chicken, and she was absolutely right! The chicken is incredibly crunchy on the outside and extremely tender on the inside. The staff was friendly, and our order came out quickly. If I lived in Comox, I would definitely eat here all the time.

Chicken tenders were probably the best I've ever had. Piping hot and moist. Really good.The onion rings weren't great. Would have never known there was any onion. Just batter.Donuts and toast were good.I would go back for sure, but strictly for the chicken tenders only.

I tried this place for the first time after hearing from so many satisfied customers. I had it delivered to my workplace and it was sooo good! Crispy, tender chicken packed with flavour. Probably the best fried chicken I've had:

Too bad it's Frankie's chicken strips. A quality fried chicken place is needed for this end of the island. KFC Lee's famous don't cut it. Réservez une table maintenant

I find the batter on chicken just falls/crumbles off and is (for my liking anyway) to soft mushy, the fries are good, staff is pleasent
