Took my partner and my family who I haven't seen for 3 months out for tea here, we reserved a table for 5 over the phone. When we arrived they placed the table in the middle of the footpath so that people walking by had to move around us. We all felt super uncomfortable and felt rude being in the middle of the path. First off we ordered our drinks, which wasn't too bad, we asked for a bottle of wine, a red label and coke and a coke and squash. When the drinks arrived they had mixed the coke and lemon squash together which wasn't what we asked for. They then asked if we were ready to order, and we asked for 5 minutes to look at the menu. Prices were exuberant for the quality. Tables packed in so tight we may as well have been dining with the people on the table next to us. Fish was not cooked properly and was poor quality. We received the wrong drinks and the wait staff were adamant we ordered the drinks we were served. Food was delivered to our table that we didn't order and the staff in general seemed confused, as if they had never been trained. As we were leaving what appeared to be the owner was complaining to a staff member about other staff members. So unprofessional!!!
We use to go here all the time the atmosphere was warm and the food was quality, We had the misfortune of going last night, and what a disaster.The food was luke warm, like it had been on hold for too long, the salad was limp, and the Gnocchi Boscaiola didnt seem overly fresh either. Wait staff seemed under the pump, and maitre'de seemed abrupt.Overall for the money we spent and what we got in return, i wouldnt bother again.Love to know where the old management have moved on to.
I have been to this restaurant numerous times over the past few years without fault. Tonight the service was poor, food average and very overpriced for what we received. After our entrees the cutlery wasn't even changed the waiter just moved the dirty cutlery back onto the paper lined tables. For the price of the meals you'd expect 'fine dinning service' and proper table cloths. It's disappointing to see this restaurant go downhill so fast.

Took my wife on Valentine's Day for dinner, arrived at 7pm took just over an hour to get our bottle of wine. At 9.15pm after asking twice we finally got our entrée and it was nearly 10pm when we got our mains. My fish was over cooked and my wife's chicken was so dry she was unable to eat it. Our 15 year old waitress was very nice, but out of her depth. I did complain through their contact page but did not receive a reply.
Mothers Day at Franks was disappointing. Firstly never got advised that it will be a set menu on the night. Waited over an hour to get our meals and the worse part was the food was very poor. Not sure whats happened to this restaurant!!!

Would never go here again food not great .. awful service .. very disappointing and not cheap !!! So many nicer restaurants to go to on Keillor Road !!!
