Fred's Mexican Cafe

Not bad... Great, no... But not bad at all. The service was a little slow, but good. The prices of the meals were a bit pricey, but you are by the beach and a tourist trap...So, that was a bit expected. But still a bit high for the amount and quality. The quirky ambiance was fun and inviting. Seating outside was nice with a beautiful ocean view. Will be a second trip, but so many other choices for great food, may not be for awhile. Will update once we visit again.

We had a table that over looked The strand, it was great! Chips were very good, we ordered guacamole and queso, it was super! We were there on taco Tuesday, ordered ground beef tacos on flour tortillas, I thought they were delicious!! Very happy with Fred's! We had planned on going to Avilla's but it was closed due to a fire. We will be regulars at Fred's!!

Great food and great prices for where you're located. $3-$5 tacos on Tuesday. Had 3 tacos, chips and salsa, asked for their hot sauce, 20oz beer all for $22 after tip. Super reasonable.

Nice views and fun place. Good food and drinks and a great place for surfcity nights farmers mkt to get some tacos
