Absolutely fantastic! I can't express enough how amazing the food is! The southern drumstick is perfectly plump and not greasy at all; you can't help but close your eyes to fully enjoy the flavor! The individual pork ribs, served with their homemade BBQ sauce, are simply delightful—Mmmmm! The catfish is wonderfully flaky with a perfect coating. I've been wanting to come here for months now and finally had the opportunity to. Tracy greeted me and let me pick a table I'd be sharing with my friends once they arrived. She brought out menus for us, as well as some literature about the restaurant and its mission. Needless to say, I was impressed. We were given ample time to order, and when the fish I had ordered arrived, it was hot, fresh and delicious! The potato salad was great, and the food my friends ordered was really good according to them. I will need to come back when the gumbo and Mac and cheese is back on the menu. I was eager to try the food here and learn more about their commitment to giving back to the community. The meal I had showcased an excellent variety of fine Alabama-inspired cooking, the best I've had in years. The greens, tomatoes, sauce, slaw, and potatoes were absolutely delicious! The meats were tender, and the pulled pork ribs were cooked to perfection. I couldn't help but make noise as I enjoyed every bite! Two thumbs up from me! We ordered the family dinner and it was incredibly delicious. The ribs and chicken were outstanding. We chose potato salad and beans as our sides, and they tasted homemade and scrumptious. We arrived for dinner around 5 PM and managed to beat the crowd. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive.
