The burger was a frozen patty that was overcooked to the point of resembling a hockey puck. The shepherd's pie was also disappointing due to the overcooked lamb. The bangers and mash were mediocre—neither particularly good nor bad. The fish and chips were made with a pre-packaged coating rather than being beer battered. Overall, the food was quite disappointing.
I don't usually give all 5 star reviews, but I've eaten here multiple times lately and have yet to have a bad meal or service. It's authentic food with a good variety, and some great choices for lunch, both quick and inexpensive. I haven't tried the bar yet, so one of these days (when I'm not working close by) I'll get an old fashioned and report back.
The food was excellent! Our standout dish was the bread pudding, which was definitely one of my favorite restaurant desserts ever. The chicken pot pie was full of flavor as well. We also tried a chipotle chicken wrap, and the chicken was cooked to perfection; it had a great combination of ingredients. Réservez une table maintenant
I had the wings and my friends had the Mac n cheese and chicken pot pie. I will say that was my first time and they go there frequently. So that's where I got the recommendations. Everything appeared to have been made from fresh ingredients. As a bonus they are a bar too and open late.
Everything about my experience here was extraordinary. I was graced with some of the best shepherds pie I've ever had! The drinks were provided by very lively and cheerful bartenders. They made great conversation and I would certainly be back if not for them alone!
