fumi is a Japanese restaurant in the weingut josef biffar, just a few steps north of the railway station. the family tokuoka from japan bought in the year 2013 weingut josef biffar. fumiko (from which the name of the restaurant is derived) tokuoka manages this chic...restaurant on the estate that offers traditional Japanese menu points, but also offers a Japanese selection of traditional German dishes. where else can they order Japanese carvings? fumi also offers a 5-course menu, with or without paired weine. our register card for 2 people, with wine and drinking money, came to 86 euro, which we as a good value given the quality of food and wine together with the ambiente of the environment.

Fumiko (from which the restaurant’s name is derived) Tokuoka manages this chic...restaurant on the estate which features traditional Japanese menu items but also offers a Japanese take on traditional German dishes. Where else can you order Japanese schnitzel? Fumi also offers a 5-course menu, with or without paired wines. Our tab for 2 people, with wine and tip, came to 86 Euros which we considered a good value given the quality of the food and wine along with the ambience of the setting.

Our (my husband and I) first encounter with Japanese food was one to remember. I was willing to try Japanese food for already a long time but never did find the place and opportunity but this time triggered by the combination with good wines, we...finally did it. The november 5-course menu with adapted wines was excellent and probably spoilt us for every further Japanese meal since it'll be hard to beat this winning combination

Very unlikely you ever looked for such a combination. However, the good Japanese food goes very well with a descent German white wine selection. Just try it out.

we were in this restaurant some paints and eating is excellent. the menu changes after seasons and ingredients available and eating is authentic Japanese.

Recommended by many people, I finally tried it. The tasting menu with wine accompaniment was delicious. The atmosphere is modern and airy. Great staff.
