Funky Claude's Bar

I came here with my husband to celebrate a special occasion. We were so amazed by the atmosphere: nice music and a very stylish bar. We sit at the counter as no tables were available. The waiter who helped us was very nice.. so far...so good. BUT we had to wait around 20 minutes to order..and I mean we were at the counter! We were about to leave when a lady (who did not speak English properly finally came to ask and then again another 20 minutes to receive a Gin Tonic and one of their specials.. However, as the entertainment was nice and the coktails too, we decided to go for another round (of the same cocktails and guess what.. we received two completely different cocktails from the ones we received before (with also a different garnishes!!! with a completely different taste! We were not even able to finish them! Above all, we told the same lady that they were not properly done and she just left without even replying to us! Now, for a 5star hotel bar, I believe they have standards and I am sure that the doses for a gin and tonic are the same everywhere! I might understand that on a busy night everything cannot be perfect, but still if you charge me 25 CHF for a cocktail I expect them to be good! We will never come back to this place.

Their menu offers a 33cl beer, but the waiter came across with a glass of 25cl and tried to charge the same price. We complained about the quantity and wanted to speak with the main manager, but he was such a cowardly person and sent...a young waiter to calm us. Finally, a young waiter offered us an additional beer for free, but that does not justify their fraud communication in the menu. You should fire this manager. This name is a big shame for the fabulous Claude Nobs who founded the Montreux Jazz Festival and built it from a three-day local event into one of the world’s premier annual music festivals.

The cocktails and music were amazingly good. But when we paid, we were cut at 100.00. When we called the waitress, she immediately said: "There is chf 100 missing, right? So she knew! So she hoped we wouldn't notice that!? Ruined... the great cocktail and the music... so bad

It was a quiet evening with no atmosphere but I’m sure when busy it would be great. For a renowned cocktail bar the choices were very limited. Food was good but very overpriced

My husband and I enjoyed our Fairmont welcome drink here! We loved to relax in their comfortable chairs and listen to live jazz music
