This is one of the best dive bars around. It has a certain rustic grunge; a patina if you will, that makes this place worthy of legend. Beers on tap aren't extensive but the are reasonably priced. They put their own style on typical bar food, the grillcheese and tomato soup with a side of fries was my go to. They also have live music sometimes on the weekend, usually localbands playing their own brand of rock. There's also a pool table for those looking to get a game in.
I visited Fury's Publick House for the first time with friends on a Saturday, and to our surprise, it was quite calm. We found out that there were no bands performing that night, which likely explains the low crowd. On the bright side, they have a free dartboard and pool table, which kept us entertained given the lack of patrons. Although we didn't sample much from the menu during our visit, it was an enjoyable spot to check out.
Outstanding recovery from our first venture there- will not bother to describe as it is not germane to the heart soul of this place. Food was great, Service was outstanding. A local bar with some great locals. Great with kids too. Awesome selection of good food, especially for a live music venue. American Flag over the stage and a select few others flying. I will be back. Thank you for our experience!
Loved the laid back atmosphere, band and all around vibe. The bar tenders were pretty good. 1 female bar tender was behind slow though. We ordered a few drinks and over 20 minutes later we still didn't have them yet she was taking other orders: thankfully the male bartender took notice and served us quickly the remainder of our visit: Réservez une table maintenant
A true neighborhood gem. Unlike many places in the city, Fury's Publick House prioritizes customer safety during the pandemic, which definitely earns my loyalty. I can’t wait for life after the pandemic, and enjoying a beer in the sun on their riverside deck will be one of my first stops.
Fury's is my home away from. My second living room, if you will. If you like a bar you can walk in to, be welcomed genuinely, and meet all walks of life, this is the spot in Dover. Free pool and darts, great pub fare, and the best mug club around.
