Have dined at the restaurant twice. The cook does a really good job to cook German dishes in a lighter and more modern fashion, which is why we returned. It has a nice small garden where one can sit outdoor in a pleasant atmosphere. Be...prepared, however, to be treated like you are a burden and the ladies doing the service are doing you a real favor. If this bothers you, you may find you can't enjoy the very good food after all.
I used to LOVE this place, the food was always great, and the atmosphere even greater. Unfortunately things have changed under new Management. While most of the decorations remained, the menu has changed drastically, and the Service was not what it used to be. Ordered...a Schnitzel with pan fried potatoes and a salad. The only thing that tasted good was the meat. I must say I was a bit disappointed and probably will not return.
Stopped by during Winzerfest. Was busy, but you would never know it. The staff is very well managed. We happened to run into an old friend of ours, that we had not seen in years. The food was spot on and their wine suggestions...paired very well with our meals. We will definitely make sure to to add it to our regular stops!
My husband really liked what he ordered, a savory pork stew with veg. I ordered the special spaetzle and it was a bit disappointing—the spaetzle was tender but not very flavorful. Nice beer list. I don't know is that the german way of serving? What do you think? We went there Minutes before they close Person) and the answer: No kitchen we close in half an hour Shocking. We found a lovely Pizzeria Primavera they served...us well :
This is a beautiful restaurant, in a gorgeous garden setting- serving fresh local produce and Rheinhessische Specialities. Must try the fresh white asparagus! Good menu choice, friendly efficient service. A favourite of the locals.
very unfriendly staff. tried once to have dinner there and never again. cannot recommand this place. atmosphere is not to my gusto place is overloaded with stuff

This is a lovely little wine bar with a walled garden seating area that serves very good local wines. Owner speaks fluent english.
