Gami Chicken and Beer

As the title of my review says, overpriced. $18.00 for a regular bowl of stir fried chicken gizzard? $9,80 for corn with cheese? come on guys. there are plenty of korean restaurants in Melbourne and I don't think this is one of the best. The order takes forever, even if you already pre-ordered over the phone, it will still take you minutes of waiting. If there are no available parking around, good luck. Ordering over the phone is the worst, they always get your order wrong.Chicken is way toooo sweet. Calm down with the corn syrup guys.Would not recommend it at.

GAMI do fried chicken with a handfull of sauces, of which the spicy and honey/soy were the favourites with my family. The Chicken is twice cooked, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and totally delicious. GAMI is popular so book ahead, and there are more than one in Melbourne - so make sure you are booking the 100 Little Lonsdale Gami. The Kim Chi pancakes are also excellent, as is the tteok boeki ( korean rice cakes lightly fried in red pepper sauce). As for value - a family of 4 ate their fill with change out of $80.....

The restaurant is famed for its chicken but I think it was the least tastiest dish we had. The seafood pancake, corn dish and potato dish were very tasty. Food was very quick to be served. There is seating available upstairs, so don't be put off if in the window it looks full.

Gami is an excellent fried chicken restaurant. The boneless chicken is great to share and comes with a nice cabbage coleslaw. It's also good value at $50 for two sharing chicken, a side, and a drink each.

This is a great place for catching up with the guys. The ambience is okay. The food is great. There are a few of them around Melbourne - several hidden away.
