Well... It’s what we think is typical anyway. The menu is not overly extensive but I guess due to the circumstances, they mostly present the old favourites. I had the goulash with dumplings. Tasty, melting in the mouth. My husband chose the pork Wiener schnitzel...served with salad and frites. Tender meat. Crispy crust. Perfectly cooked. We ate outside by this warm July evening. High tables and benches. Lots of people and cars passing by even if out of the main touristy streets. Not necessarily romantic but I didn’t find any in town... Friendly helpful waitress, speaking perfectly English. The only downside is the wine. **** expensive. Close to a rip-off especially for a house wine. Even if...

For the 1st time I stayed at Eggerwirt, in the very centre of old Kitzbuhel, and I can honestly recommend it at any time of the year. Very helpful, english speaking reception staff, excellent, very clean, large but cosy, comfortable bedroom, large bathroom, excellent breakfast,...and most of all, excellent location. In the room a safe, large wardrobes with sufficient number of hangers and a couple of umbrellas. Altogether a lovely hotel with great service and food, a pleasure to stay in and with great pleasure I shall stay there again.

We didn’t stay here but chose to eat here on a warm summers evening. We had not booked and there was no chance of al fresco dining as it was well filled. They did however accomodate us and although service seemed not to be particularly...interested. Having said that the food was all good and the waiter did his job well. If you’re in doubt I suggest giving this spot a try regardless. Reasonably priced tasty authentic Austrian food.

Delicious meal with pleasant ambiance and nice service. Large tasty portions on a quiet terrace at the rear with a view of the mountains. The quality and attention to detail where evident all evening long. The restaurant was very clean.

Traditional restaurant with traditional menu. Good service and excellent food. Good wine choice. Great value for money
