Yet another local restaurant I have visited many, many times. I actually returned there today for lunch to make a couple of pictures for this review. The title nearly says it all : expect a fairly good traditionnal Swiss food. For lunch you 'll always find 3 lunchtime only menu sets, 1 of them oddly way too expensive for what it is (see uploaded picture), and 2 really meant for simple workers to get a full treat for little money. This lunch menu always includes a soup and a salad before the main course, on some (random) days, there will even be a complimentary dessert on top of that. Bekannt für gutes Essen und grooosse Portionen! Das Essen ist währschaft; Fleisch mit allerhand Saucen, Pommes und Teigwaren dominieren die Karte. Aber auch Vegis und Salatliebhaber kommen hier auf ihre Kosten. Mein Favorit: Schnitzel mit Morchelrahmsauce und Nudeln. Im Herbst / Winter gibt's tolles Wild. Das Riesencordon-bleu hab ich diverse Male gesehen, mich bisher aber nie ran gewagt. Sevice was ok. We arrived around 2 PM in the afternoon for a late lunch. The waitress (owner) offered us no menus but just came up to our table and asked us what we wanted. We did find a menu online but not in the restaurant. Our daughter who didn't order any food initially decided when we got our rösti and snitzel order that she would like to order a tomato soup. Unfortunately, this was not possible as the kitchen was closed. The food was alright huge portions but not special. Not the best experience ever but satisfactory.
Seit über 30 Jahren geniesse ich nun die Küche im Schütz Oppligen. Das Konzept seit jeher das gleiche und sehr erfolgreich.Gutbürgerliche Küche! Sehr fein zubereitet und hungrig geht man eh NIE aus diesem Lokal. Das Servicepersonal ist wie immer freundlich und kompetent.Ich kann dieses Gasthaus nur empfehlen. Zudem beweisst dieses Konzept noch heute, dass permanent volle Tische durchaus möglich sind.Tipp: Reservieren sie ihren Tisch, vor allem am Wochenende!

I've been in Schütz for ages and it's the same as always. World class! I chose the Wienerschnitzel with fries and it was excellent The schnitzel was pounded very thin and deliciously breaded and so big that it overlapped the plate. I didn't need any mayo or ketchup. Familienessen mit 7 Personen. War super, hat schätzungsweise 30 verschiedene Beilagen, ca. 5 verschiedene Fleischsorten und von allem mehr als genug! Bedienung war gut und aufmerksam. Kann ich sehr empfehlen, grosser Hunger ist Voraussetzung!
Ein herrliches feines Essen, schön ausgarniert, mit Fröhlichkeit und Kompetenz serviert und ohne Hektik! Es war ein gelungener Anlass und wir können das Schützentesm bestens weiter empfehlen! Herzlichen Dank!
mein absolutes lieblings restaurant, hammer essen, vor allem die cordonbleu. preis/leistung stimmt völlig. wir kommen immer wieder!

Wonderful, super friendly, accommodating but not intrusive, great food even if it's simple! More than enough... Very inexpensive
