Panorama - Cayenne

One can find good food in Switzerland but it usually is somewhat expensive. Here we are far from the big cities and have managed to eat at a reasonable price: 109 CHF or $120 for a 2 x main dish, desert and a beer. There are in fact 2 restaurants in this hotel: a fancy one with fancier dishes and a family type one with wooden tables and chairs inside but not nearly as attractive as sitting on the terrace – weather permits. The chef is the same as well as the basic ingredients. Tip: The location is hard to find and a GPS is a must.

It is interesting how relaxed one can be when looking down upon life going by. You are somehow disconnected from the Hussle and Bussel that you can see below you; which of course adds to the atmosphere that allows you to enjoy a rather good meal. You need wheels to get there, Taxi, Friends or Rent a vehicle..it is worth it. Trouble is, you will stay longer than you planned to...especially if it is clear and sunny day.

Off the beaten track but just a 10 minute drive from Thun this restaurant offers fine dining and boasts 16 Gault Millau points. You must try their 5 course gourmet menu it’s always delicious!

Nothing more to say then just OUTSTANDING from the warm welcome, the amazing greetings, the food istself and you definetly need to go for a coffee surprise surprise ;

We went there for lunch, the view is fantastic and the food (home made) just delicious. A friendly welcome by the owner and good service!
