This is a lovely local restaurant near the covered bridge in Thun so a very pretty setting. There is outside and inside seating and today was quite mild so we chose outside. The waiter offered us english menus which was great. We had the stuffed tomatoes and a pizza to share. The stuffed tomatoes were fantastic and the pizza was also good although even sharing we could not get through it. Two wines and two beers and it was a relatively (for Switzerland) cheap meal. Recommended
with the most beautiful summer weather we enjoyed the delicious dinner at the aare in the mill place. the "bisteca di maiale" and the zigeunerspies were both well prepared and were rich with pommes. the service of the whole equipe - starting from the chef - was very courteous and despite the high-powered on Sunday evening speditiw. caffe, icy, apfelschorle and valser for thuner conditions extremely inexpensive. we're coming back.
the local is located directly at the river, a really beautiful scenery. the device is simple, the menu comes in laminated plastic, which feels slimy.The selection of dips is ok, the wee of the table stand turns out to be very good.The salmon was dry, the teig goods without right whistle, the service friendly, competent and flotted.
Language is important, but you also need to know how to speak well. The purpose of running a restaurant is not only to have a good location and good food, but also to have a good attitude of the service staff. It's a bad experience to eat here. Location and service are good, but unfortunatelly I can not tell same for the taste of food. We ordered rind fillet and cordon blue, rind fillet was mwdiacore, but cordon blue was really below thr line, I rhink they should reduce their menu options and try to focus a few good dishes.
The location next to the river offers nice atmosphere.The inclusive (salad, entree and dessert) made the meal very reasonably priced by Switzerland. We had the perch fillet, and it was excellent. The young waiter we had was very attentive, engaging and spoke excellent English.
Just amazing! Excellent service, very friendly and forthcoming. As starter we had most delicious antipasti but the star of the meal was the dessert... If you come here get the homemade Tiramisu it's outstanding
