I tend to prefer good soft serve or high quality ice cream like Clementine's.I was definitely not disappointed. In fact, I liked it so much that I had to try two additional flavors after my first order.I first ordered the Grasshopper (Mint Cookie) Gelato. The mint flavor was perfect--neither too strong nor two subtle--and the Grasshopper cookie pieces were a nice addition.Since I was feeling fruity, I decided to order a fruity flavor next. The gelato at this restaurant is amazing! I took home a quarter and a pint of blood orange and limette flavors, and was worried they would freeze too hard to scoop, but they remained creamy and easy to scoop throughout the day. The flavors tasted like fresh fruits and were delicious. Although the price for 1 quarter, 1 pint, and 3 cannolis was around $38, it was well worth it for a top-notch gelato that I would not be able to afford regularly.
So good! Pricy for a small serving, so if you are expecting cheap ice cream and an oversized American serving, this is not the place for you. These are fairly small cups of excellent gelato in a range of flavors depending on the day. So far I have had half a dozen fruit flavors, mint chip, and espresso chip. All are excellent, but the lemon is what keeps me coming back.
