Husband and I toured the coast from Santa Barbara to Dana Point. That was the best sushi we found! Excellent authentic sushi house. The restaurant was clean and had a large sushi bar to watch the cooks work. Very good!!!

I needed ten years. I've been going to Gen Kai for 10 years I'm not a sushi meal, but Gen Kai has many other great dishes and I never had a bad meal there and the food got hot at the table and the service is excellent.

The sushi servings were tiny with no fish in sight. The menu was disappointing and the lack of sauce on the sushi, despite it being advertised, was frustrating.

Out of all the Japanese restaurants in Orange County, this place is the best. The portions are generous and the food is delicious. I highly recommend it!
