George's Tradition Leek

We’ve been using George’s in leek for year and to be fair open on a Sunday so we can pick up food for the team when working on the farm. Today we dropped in towards 2pm and brought some food etc s the last time...we went for the price we were disappointed so though we would give it a go. My mums a quite person who does not complain how ever if anyone is looking for over priced double or tripled cooked chips for the same price then that’s the place to go. Such a shame as it’s been going down hill recently and at times you would like to give it the benefit off a doubt. Absolutely terrible. I just wanted to eat a bite as we work in the village before site, eating was not bad, fair to be a little fat, but it is a chippy at the end of the day, so it is a gap filled. my problem is the staff,...more to the point that served us, a young guy with a bart. we all know that covid is still there, but if our boris lets us all mix, go shopping, a meal in a pub or just keep on living why the hell in a small village like leek we have to stop a mask, so was the point because we have not seen the sign and that was more than one of us, he started to drip on the door

Traveling through town several people recommend this chippy. We ordered cod and chips. The meal was a greasy mess. After slogging through as much as we could, we delighted in putting the rest in a bin on the way back to our narrowboat. Both of...us were gripped with abdominal pain and nausea. Maybe the staff cooking that night were new but we'd never eat there again nor recommend the place, period. Sorry to be so negative but you have been warned.

the fish was okay but thats about it. the mushy peas were like water and some of my wife’s chips raw inside. a little expensive for what it is too, it’s cheaper at montys and the goldfish bowl in cheadle. this place needs to up...it’s food standards a little they’ve gone a bit down bank. much nicer down the tamworth branch. Used to be the best in town- tried one more time after several other disappointing takeaways... no more ...chips mushy and smelling of old oil. Fish batter soggy and stuck to chips- not going there again. I hope they sort themselves out

george’s has always been a favorite, but in the last year or so it is really on the hill. small portion size, george’s is quite expensive, especially with how many chips they get. chips were greasy and understated]. .

Absolutely terrible services from the off, it used to be very good but they were rude and unhelpful. Definitely would not recommend going there, they couldn’t even get the order correct very bad experience 0 out of 10

the chippy is the best in leek and they have adapted to an online ordering system when required. the fish are good, the puddings are my favorite and they tend to look over you with chips that are in order. Réservez une table maintenant

not good last night me and woman upset stomachs had swell and chips very soggy break the chips were cold only places open on Sunday big mistake will not use it again

Always a good take away meal from here. The portions are too large for my liking but better too large than too small.
