As other customers have said, there's value for money in the $4.50 chicken and rice dishes. After a bizarre experience on the phone, when I called to check opening hours (even had to call back as I couldn't believe the woman was for real) I decided to go for the roast chicken/rice. It's good, especially if you add a bit of flavour via the condiments.
No wonder there are so many locals there at peak times. At 5 pm though, I was the only customer.
A great option when you need an easy, inexpensive feed.
One of my favourite places to come when I have a break between classes - it's a poor student's dream! Tasty chicken rice for $4.50! I usually go for the BBQ chicken fried rice, but the roast chicken rice (pictured) is just as good (if you don't mind bones!). You can get either steamed or fried rice and can add Asian greens too. The lady who owns the place is always, always lovely and treats every customer like they're regulars. I'll still be coming here even after I finish my degree!
Brilliant asian cafe near the ALVA library which is great for students like me to enjoy a quick, quality and very cheap ($4.50-all dishes) feed before hitting the books again. Only downside is the atmosphere inside (dull and dingy) but that is overlooked when you get your food :) Service is excellent-the old lady is always bight and cheerful :)
Damn this place is great value for money. Meals are only $4.50, never seen anything like it. Very quick service if in a hurry for lunch. Am in and out within 2mins most days. Staff are always smiling and chatty, they really appreciate the business of every person that comes in. Oh yeah and the food is great.

Nothing fancy, nothing flash but some thing cheap and simple. Perfect for lunch or dinner on the run and even better for taking in to work
I choose the Nasi Lamak and curry puff. Not bad for about $6.

Grande valeur. Même si ce n'est parfois pas incroyable, vous ne pouvez pas battre leur grand prix. Aussi les vieilles asiatiques qui fonctionnent sont délicieuses. Si mignon, aimez-les ????
I had lunch here. Had the chicken rice which is cheap. Taste is adequate. Drinks are cool but not cold. Place is adequate even though it lacks vibe or life. Good for avoiding the rain.

Complaints are not valid when you are paying $4.50 for a meal. Been coming here for years. Same people. Same service. Same food. Hits the spot on a hungry day down in Hollywood.
Great value. Even though it sometimes isn't amazing you just can't beat their great price. Also the old Asian people that run it are delightful. So cute, love them ????
