Did the curbside pickup for groceries, so this review is for that process. I ordered food online and the site automatically set the Verona store as the delivery site. That was fine; I don 't live too far from there. On the day of pickup I was texted by Mary Ann, who identified herself as my 'personal shopper '. She contacted me a few times thereafter to verify items, suggest alternatives when needed, and to make sure I had no issue with filet mignon steaks larger than normal (Larger filets? Bring it! . I decided to try curbside pickup for the first time, and I must say, it was an incredibly easy experience! Samantha was my shopper, and she informed me about two items that were out of stock, which wasn't a big deal at all. She also provided a substitute for one item, which I was perfectly fine with. I arrived at 6:30, and as soon as I called to let them know I was there, someone came out right away. It took less than 30 seconds for her to load all my groceries into my car—much quicker than I could have done myself! I highly recommend opting for curbside pickup, and don't forget to tip the fantastic shoppers for all their hard work!
I like this Giant Eagle for one reason and one reason only. It makes you work. It doesn't make things easy for you. The inside is a rather small setup, but it gives you what it needs. But what I think is best about this place is the pharmacy. You see, most people don't want to walk inside and like to use the pharmacy drive thru. Well, not here. You will still need to park. Instead of a drive thru pharmacy, they have a walk up pharmacy. The window is on the sidewalk. So, if you are already walking to the window, just take the little extra walk and go inside. It won't hurt you.

Wow! This is one of the best Giant Eagles in Pittsburgh! I recently visited to check out the "As Seen On TV" section and was impressed by the huge selection of groceries. I always get my favorite cigarettes from the friendly staff at the tobacco counter—the freshest Pall Malls in the county! On my way out, I usually treat myself to a fresh chocolate milk and a Reese's Cup... but let's keep that between us and not mention it to my doctor!
I stopped in to grab a scratch off lottery ticket on my way to breakfast, but once inside I decided to have a look around. This is a rather impressive store for the size. Everything from Produce to Frozen Foods looked fresh and very well stocked. The employees were all very nice as three different people asked if I needed help finding anything while I was there. I recommend a visit if you happen to be in the area.
Lindsay and Samantha at the customer service desk were incredibly patient and went above and beyond to assist me with an issue I had regarding Western Union. They managed to resolve the problem, and I was able to get my refund thanks to them. Thank you so much, ladies!
I was honestly quite frustrated with this place; it left a bad taste in my mouth. When I went up to the cash register with my food, I couldn't believe there wasn't even a hint of customer service in the store, let alone anything impressive.

They have a great selection in spite of supply shortages most likely due to covid 19, I never see them crowded. They move people really fast at checkout. Staff is always friendly. Its really convenient.
This is the worst Giant Eagle I've ever been to. The vegetables are often moldy, and the dry products are left open on the shelves. It's really unacceptable.
