Gigio’s has always been a favorite for our office lunch, as it's conveniently located just down the street. The quality, pricing, and speed of service are all exceptional. I recently decided to try their gluten-free crust pizza, and I was really impressed! The crust was perfectly crispy, and I enjoyed the sausage and pappadew peppers just like the regular pizza by the slice. However, you have to order a whole pizza, which is quite filling; next time, I’ll aim for just two slices and save the rest for later. Plus, their online ordering system goes directly to the restaurant, so they don't lose money on third-party app fees. I’d definitely give it a 10/10 and highly recommend it!
The food is tasty and reasonably priced, but I don't think I'll be returning here. They don't announce who ordered what when the food is ready, which can lead to confusion if someone orders something similar to you. I've had both situations happen to me: I mistakenly received someone else's order and was blamed by the staff for "not paying attention." I don't believe it's fair to expect customers to keep track of all the orders in their heads; it would be much better if they called names instead. In the other instance, I had to wait nearly 40 minutes to receive my slice. I've been a customer here for two years and enjoy the food, but the service has become quite frustrating.
I love almost everything on the menu! From a quick slice of pizza to South of the border fare, almost everything is good. The place is large enough to handle families and students without sitting on top of each other. One draw back to the large size is that it has many windows to see the sometimes unruly crowd outside and having to walk past them to get inside. But, the food is worth the occasional inconvenience. I order ahead and it's ready when I get there and still warm when I get home. Kid-friendliness: Kids and families are always there. Workers are patient with tween customers, too
Delicious pizza. Amazing Reubens. Yummy Italian Beef. Great service.Update: Had problems with our recent order. Asked for no horseradish on steak sandwich but got horseradish. Mozzarella sticks were so hard. Inedible.No salsa with the steak fahiitas. And they weren't that great. Very disappointed this time. Only thing good was the fast delivery. We’ve been going to Gigio’s for fifteen years now. They are amazing. Best NY-style pie in Chicagoland! Don’t be afraid to try other things on the menu! It’s all good! One of my kids doesn’t eat cheese but is nuts about the tacos and burritos. Kid-friendliness: Family friendly!
I absolutely love this place! It's a regular stop on our way to the pizza spot. The food is consistently delicious every time we go, and I find myself returning at least a few times a month.
We had the build-your-own pizza and it was very satisfying. We had to pick up the pizza thirty minutes after it was delivered, but the pizza was still pretty warm and tasted great.
