Today, I went to the Veterans Hospital with my husband to see a doctor, and I chose a restaurant for lunch. I went to this restaurant for the first time, the restaurant is very clean and tidy, first of all it gave me a good impression. The Fried Walleye we ordered, the fish was very fresh and delicious, and the Classic Eggs Benedict was also delicious. I believe that the chef put his heart into it Serving customers with a professional heart, I will give you 5 stars. The waiters are also very nice, the only regret is that the toilet is not clean enough. Very happy to choose the right restaurant, we will visit this restaurant again next time.
I’ve been coming to Gilbert Street Cafe whenever I can, and it’s usually a pleasant experience. However, today the service was rude. The staff member walked away from me while on the phone, and when he finished, he acted like he didn’t want to serve me. When his coworker came in, he greeted them pleasantly. When I asked for some grape jelly, he told me to wait until he finished assisting the other person.
I had heard many great things about this restaurant so I decided to try it out. I visited on a busy Sunday afternoon and was impressed by the quick service, cozy atmosphere, and cleanliness of the place. The staff was friendly, the food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the prices were affordable. I will definitely be returning!

Since new owners took over, the food and service have been outstanding. The portions are huge— the chicken fried steak with eggs and hashbrowns is so generous it needs two plates. I now dine there twice a week. They also accept DoorDash delivery.
My waitress Annette was AMAZING in every way possible oh and the food was purty good also ? Naw food was amazing as well oh and almost forgot when I sat at above my head someone needs to clean the cobwebs off
Outstanding service with a friendly smile! Delicious food and generous portions! There were a few flies, but I would definitely recommend this place!
