Lovely as always. Food very good and service excellent. Please get some better chairs. Only downside was it’s a restaurant not a child’s play area. One couple were playing Charades at their table quite loudly with their daughter and not really what we want from...a proper restaurant. Might have been due to staff continuing to serve alcohol to a couple in sole charge of a child aged approx They had a bottle of wine between them and then the lady had another two glasses of wine and the man had what looked like Sambuca. That’s verging on being drunk in charge of a child. Staff should be more aware of their responsibility.
Giovannnis is a lovely cosy, little restaurant, great for an evening with friends, family or as a couple. The staff are lovely, the food and wine are always good and everything is immaculately clean. My only comment would be, on arrival you always have to...wait at the little area just inside the front door, sometimes for a good mins, the tables never seem to be ready, i have found this on every occasion i have been, not just during covid. Not a major thing though, worth the wait for the delicious food and drink.
We came to Giovannis with lots of recommendations, our meal was good. My daughter and I had a prawn starter which would have been better if we'd had bread to mop up the sauce. All four of us enjoyed our main course. I don't think any of us were blown away! I think it was tasty but not amazing. We all said it was good, but not anything outstanding. The staff were friendly.
Charlotte are the perfect host for this little cozy restaurant,food delicious, warm welcome,friendly staff'hate to see such bad comment here,as i have been in this restaurant for so long ,Charlotte and all staff ,never ever disappointed me as italian i must say,you are my top...one ciao a tutto lo staff,

Just been for a evening meal in Giovanni's and I must say it was excellent I had the steak and it was delicious the rest had Italian dishes and they where delish as always,the service was first class thank you Colin and his staff
This is a lovely local family restaurant. We had excellent food and service, and even had our voucher (out of date) honoured. The staff were very attentive, the good freshly prepared and delicious. We ll definitely be back
Was here last night with my wife, daughter and her partner very good atmosphere the service was first class and the food was delicious we had steak and they where amazing thank you Giovanni's
