A most beautiful restaurant in the most stunning location. No problem, if the offer is limited to a few meals like Appler Maccarone and Barley soup. Preparation of these meals doesn't need a Michelin star chef to prepare. So why serving convenience food. Just not...eatable and definitely a serious offense to this most beautiful place ! Please change the management. We want to come back to beautiful Toggenburg. BTW. Next day we tried the Espel bar down the hill on the slope. The offer is similar, slightly more diverse, even though it is just a small cabine. Everything is fresh and homemade. Le vin chaud easily competes with offers in Megeve. Nothing out of the box. Congratulation to the ladie...
It's a big long hall next to the station with a nice view. The hall is a wooden structure with a big heater in the middle. You may either buy the food yourself or being served with a higher price. It doesn't provide menu in...English but the staff is helpful and explain to us. The food is standard as what you would expect for a restaurant at cable car station. The environment is more delicious than the dishes.
Knowing that the new Chäsrugg cable car station and the restaurant is a architectural landmark. It is indeed very attractive.BUT: great from the outside. Disappointing from inside. 1 great big long hall looks like a big cafeteria. Thanx for the very attractive fire place...in the center. SERVICE at a self service counter extremely slow. Nice tables outside even at mid day in the shade. Overall disappointing.
Fantastic panoramic views. Fantastic architecture. Excellent food and beverage service. A must see on a visit to Zurich area,must an hour away and you can see six countries from the summit. The gondola and track train ride up and down is also a great experience....Very enjoyable afternoon.
