My first visit to this restaurant was very disappointing and I do not plan on returning. Upon arrival, there was no manager or host to greet us, leaving us unsure of where to go. Our waiter, who was different than the one assigned to our table, handed us the check without saying a word or making eye contact before walking away. The service was slow despite there being only one other diner in the room when we arrived. It took a long time for our server to come take our drink orders and even longer for our starters to arrive. A really nice find. I opted for dinner here because I wanted to enjoy a jazz group performing there as part of the New Brunswick Jazz Project. While I could have just enjoyed the music from the bar, my friend and I were really glad we opted for dinner. I had the scallops, which were cooked perfectly and set atop a really delicious faro risotto...to die for!! My friend had the brisket, which was hands down the best brisket that I have ever tried. Really great food!! Where this restaurant fell down, was the service. We were glad that we had planned to be there for 3 hours as it took every bit of that time to get from drinks to check. There for a birthday with a pretty finicky wife ; and she and i were duly impressed. Our waitress Michelle was attentive and fun. The drinks were tasty and the food delicious. Michelle then hit it out of the park when she presented my wife with a beautifully chocolate inscribed personal birthday desert. We wouldn't hesitate going back when we are in the neighborhood.
The food was average. I did not like the okra and corn side dish. The Cajun seasoning on the steak was overpowering. The risotto appetizer failed to mention that it was actually fried risotto balls.

Seat yourself restaurant...why have to book a reservation...no wait staff or hostess around? Bartender had to get a waitress out to us. Slow service, incorrect order.
The food was good but a bit overpriced. The dining area was very nice. Overall nice experience just overpriced for the quality of meal/service.
Waited 30 mins and food was cold. There were only 3 other people seated so it wasn't busy. Very unhappy with the service.
