My wife and I went to the Glyndon Grill to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were promptly seated and quickly greeted by our server. We both ordered drinks and they arrived shortly thereafter. I ordered the beef soup as an appetizer and the Lamb shank. My wife got a chicken and mozzarella dish. The main dishes arrived and no soup appetizer. It never came, so I asked them to remove it from the bill. otherwise, the food was excellent. We the ordered a donut hole and ice cream dessert that my wife loved. This what was the second time I was at the Glendon Grill. The service was very friendly, but a bit slow and non-attentive. The glaze on my braised short ribs was very sweet and it should've been advertised that way. It was more like a Thai dish of short ribs rather than a regular short ribs. I Easy t came with just a side of vegetable, I would preferred some rice or potato with that. Cost was on the high side. I had to hunt down the waiter to order coffee and dessert. My dinner date had the Andway sausage, shrimp, and grits special. It was underwhelming.
As usual, we had a fine set of entrees here. I had the braised lamb shank which was excellent, in a bed of mashed potatoes. My wife had one of the flatbreads and really enjoyed it. Also the service was excellent as usual. However, this restaurant could certainly stand to improve on their Caesar Salad. It was a poor excuse for that type of salad and is not in keeping with the rest of this restaurant's level. We certainly will return and recommend this place highly and hope they do something to improve their Casesar Salad.
The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. We had a wonderful waiter best we've had anywhere in awhile. He was vey attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and he had many tables he was taking care of. We could see he was the same to all his customers.
