It's run by a single person, likely the owner, who takes your order and prepares the meals himself. The service is self-serve, so you receive a number, and your table will buzz when your food is ready. I gave it four stars purely for the food. My wife introduced me to Goo Goo Ma over a decade ago when he had a small stall in a Korean grocery store. He has since moved to this larger location and continues to provide delicious, authentic Korean food at reasonable prices. His restaurant is always clean and he is so welcoming. Food is fresh and hot with plenty of dishes to try. If you’re unfamiliar with Korean food just try the #3 and thank me later.
I ordered the Tteokbokki with fish cake and ramen (menu item number 21) and was pleasantly surprised to find a half boiled egg included as well! It was absolutely delicious! The sauce had the perfect balance of sweetness, tanginess, and spiciness that made my nose run (which I consider a good sign). It looked just like the dish I saw in a Korean street market video on YouTube! I highly recommend it—10/10!
The food was fresh and perfectly seasoned! We had the kimchi fried rice, number 1a 1b and 11. The Kinchi stew was so good! We also ordered the cold spicy noodles home... also delicious. Very simple and clean restaurant. I love the self-service option for drinks and tables. The cook was polite and patient and answered our questions. Easy service and good food, we will be back!

What can I say, I was pleasently surprised how great tasting and fresh the food here is. I would think this would be somewhere in the city with lots of staff and busy atmosphere, but it's more of a hidden gem in the northern suburb. Definitely recommend, and if you're a first to Korean kitchen I suggest you try the Spicy Squid entree!
This was my first visit, and the food was fantastic. It's a one-man operation with counter service, which made ordering straightforward. They have plenty of photos of the dishes displayed, making it easy for those who aren't familiar with Korean cuisine. Honestly, you can't go wrong here—everything we ordered was delicious!
This is a fantastic Korean-owned restaurant. It’s clean and offers an excellent menu, along with kind and friendly service. We ordered the stir-fried squid and soft tofu soup, both of which were incredibly delicious. I definitely plan to return. There’s plenty of seating and parking available, too!

The food is delicious, authentic, and offers excellent value. I really appreciate the self-service concept; it's quick and efficient, making it perfect for a fast lunch.
Just have bi bim bap hot stone bowl, it is so good and delicious definitely recommend this place.
