Gold Garden has been our favourite Local Chinese Restraunt for years, local in that we would rather come here than Chinese Restraunt closer to us.They have recently changed hands brought in a new chef which has brought in many fresh new dishes to the menu.We like good authentic Chinese food and Gold Garden does not disappoint, very reasonably priced with excellent food. If you like more Australianised Chinese Sweet and Sour Pork this is good too.At lunch time they Have authentic Dim Sum which is always popular as well as a range of lunch specials. Be care full on Saturday and Sunday you will usually have to wait for a table during peak time 12-1pm.I cannot recommend Gold Garden we some times...
The Gold Garden has recently come under new management and what a change it has made. It is once again serving roast duck, roast pork, BBQ pork and BBQ chicken, staples, in my opinion of a good Chinese restaurant. Great Dim Sum everyday from 10 till 3 with a very small but regular crowd. It has all the staples, and a very quick service. Moderately priced compared to other Chinese restaurants, but the quality of the food is very good. Generous servings and a very friendly service staff, usually unseen in most suburban Chinese restaurants.
Friends recommended this restaurant to me a few months ago.Have to agree to the review below - this has a good range of dishes at reasonable prices.As a stand alone Hong Kong style restaurant in the suburbs it attracts many people from Asian countries. I was the "foreigner",,,,which proved I made the right choice.Enjoyed the mussels with black bean sauce, the deep fried radish cake, sesame balls with red bean sauce plus my favourite - shanghai mini dumplings.Well recommended.
Have been coming here for quite a few yrs and have always enjoyed the food. Came here to celebrate my daughters 16th birthday last night with a group of 16 people and food was the best I have had since coming here I found out that there are new owners and the customer service was fantastic this restaurant is great for families because inexpensive and has food for everyone's liking, highly recommend

Lovely affordable food. Wonderful service, we were very warmly welcomed. It was such a cold night the soups where just lovely and the rest was perfect. We had quite a serve of food and all the dishes where a good size. For three of us $90. Good value and we where more than satisfied. Decor a little plain and outdated but the food makes up for it.
Our family went for an early lunch last Saturday and the food was amazing as always. Plenty of variety to select from. We had squid tentacles, lovely soft shell crab, plenty of different types of dumplings both steamed and fried washed down with copious quantities of excellent Chinese tea. A treat for everyone !!

Went to lunch with family at this restaurant it was quite busy the service was below average and pretty poor the food was plentiful but a lot of it was overcooked and dry however it is very reasonably priced but unfortunately will not be returning

Food and service was very good. Parking right outside the resturant, very handy for anyone with a handicap. They also serve a good Dim Sim lunch
Tidy neat estabishment where tasty food was served hot and quickly. Plates were consumed clean. Will definitely go again.
