This restaurant is in the Wests Ashfield Leagues Club. We came here to celebrate Mother's Day with a yum cha brunch. Lucky we got here early as when we were leaving it was packed and the queue was out the restaurant and then some! <br/ <br/ The service here is variable. When you managed to get their attention they were helpful but other times you would need try and wave them down without success. The variety of yum cha offered was slightly limited as the same food items on the trolleys kept coming round and the request for new items were forgotten. Luckily what we did receive was tasty. We enjoyed the steamed dim sum items as they had nice fillings and were quite flavourful.

We ordered a variety of dishes, including prawn dumplings, pork dumplings, chicken feet, stuffed bean curd skin, stuffed eggplant, crispy dough wrapped in rice paper roll, char siu puff, savoury taro dumplings, and osmanthus jelly for dessert. Although the skin on some dishes was not perfect, the prawn dumplings were filled with plenty of shrimp, the crispy dough was satisfyingly crunchy (especially with the extra sesame and sweet sauce we requested for dipping), and all the dim sum dishes were full of flavor. We definitely plan to return to this restaurant and hope that the quality of food remains consistent, unlike many other dim sum places.

My housemates and I felt like Yum Cha a few Sundays ago and we were looking for a new place to try. After looking at a few reviews and articles, we decided to give Golden Times Chinese Restaurant in West Ashfield Leagues a try. <br/ Awesome decision. The food was delicious and I really enjoyed everything we ordered. Am bad with the names of the yum cha dishes so I'll let the pics speak for themselves. <br/ Will definitely go back with a bigger group to order more.<br/ Apparently becoming a member of the leagues club gives a dining discount, so will consider it next time.<br/

I recently dined at a local yum cha restaurant and found the dim sum to be fresh and delicious. The service was excellent, with trolleys consistently circling the tables and tea pots being refilled regularly. I particularly enjoyed the chicken feet, honeycomb tripe, and egg tarts. However, I was not impressed with the har gow (prawn dumplings) as the skin was too starchy for my taste. The wu got (taro pastry) also lacked sufficient meat filling in comparison to the taro outer layer. In terms of value, my party of three spent $17 per person and left feeling satisfied. My go to yum cha. Meets the 3 golden rules of Yum Cha >80% Asian clients, fresh varied choice, non belligerent staff) and even has on site parking so you can drive in. None of those dramas trying to get there in the city. We come here heaps and have honed our choices to salt and pepper squid, prawn rolls, dumplings galore, soy noodles, tofu hwa or something like that) and of course custard tarts! Yummy. ps come before 12:30 to get the best on offer, come at 2pm when they're focused on packing up and you can be assured of a less than stellar time ..,

The food was excellent, except for the taro dumpling. The service and atmosphere were also fantastic. Medium dishes were priced at $5.50 each, large dishes at $6.60, specials at $7.30, and deluxe dishes at $7.90. As club members, we received a 10% discount, bringing our total to $67.87 for four people. I look forward to returning when I am in the area again.

Came here for lunch meeting on a weekday. The restaurant was pretty busy so we had to take a number. It didn’t take long for us to get a table. They have a large variety of yum cha and it was pretty good. The restaurant itself is quite spacious so they can accommodate a large group of people.

The Golden Times Chinese Restaurant is inside the Ashfield Leagues Club and their Yum Cha menu has a great selection of dumplings, noodles and buns. It’s a busy and noisy restaurant and you feel like you have been transported to Hong Kong for the day. #chineserestaurant Réservez une table maintenant
