I can’t believe I’ve been ordering from other places all this time instead of Golden Wok! The food is absolutely delicious and clearly prepared with care. The crab rangoons are perfect—no hard edges that are difficult to bite into. The spicy tofu and vegetable dish actually had a real kick, which is rare since most places label their dishes as spicy without any heat. The vegetables are fresh, not canned or frozen, which is really important to me. Plus, the staff are incredibly friendly, remember your name, and are very polite. When I went to pick up my order, I was a bit confused at first since you need to drive around the building to the lane closest to the entrance for pickup and payment....
The food at Golden Wok shows promise. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken with Pork Fried Rice, an egg roll, and Fried Shrimp. The Kung Pao Chicken was alright, though some of the vegetables were undercooked for my taste. The fried rice was somewhat bland and dry, but the pork was nicely seasoned. The shrimp lacked flavor and seemed slightly undercooked. The egg rolls had a crisp exterior, but the filling wasn’t quite to my liking. Overall, I wasn't fully satisfied given the price, but it’s not a bad spot. Both the food and service were decent—I just prefer a different flavor profile. I would recommend giving it a try.
Best Chinese food in the greater Waterbury area. Consistent with flavor of dishes, highly recommend the pork lo mein, veggie fried rice or Mongolian beef. The general tso’s chicken is amazing, not overly spicy or overcooked. The owner and staff arefriendly and accommodating. The only criticism I would convey is that their small container of rice is extra small. If theycould start doing a regular small size , then I would have no complaints at all.

Excellent all around! Never any mistakes with my orders, I love the convenience of the drive through window for pick up, food is incredible- love the chicken teriyaki on the sticks and the pan seared dumplings!!, and the customer service is great!
This is a lovely Chinese takeout restaurant with a few seating options for dining in. It's located in a unique repurposed bank building, which adds to its charm. The prices are reasonable, and they offer DoorDash delivery. The food is delicious!
We've sampled every Chinese restaurant nearby, and Golden Wok stands out as the top in quality. Although picking up your order through an old bank drive-thru feels a bit unusual, the process is very convenient and efficient.
